Eligibility

The Rivals Tournament Challenge is open to participants with a valid email address, subject to these rules and applicable law. Participants under 13 may participate only with parent or legal guardian approval and using a parent or guardian email address. Participants under 13 are not eligible to win prizes. If a potential winner is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must verify eligibility and may accept, decline, defer, or redirect a prize on the minor winner's behalf.

Skill-Based Contest

Rivals Tournament Challenge is intended to operate as a free, skill-based bracket prediction contest. Winners are determined by submitted picks, published scoring rules, and tiebreakers, not by random drawing.

Contest Rules

• Each participant may submit one bracket entry per tournament.
• Picks are locked at the published lock time and cannot be changed after that point.
• Points are awarded based on correct picks according to the published scoring rules.
• Tiebreaker scores are used to break ties on the leaderboard.
• The contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify entries that violate these rules.

No Purchase Necessary

No purchase, payment, donation, sponsor interaction, social media follow, or marketing consent is necessary to enter or win. Buying anything or interacting with a sponsor will not improve your score, odds, ranking, or chance of receiving a prize. Void where prohibited.

Prizes

Prize details, if any, will be announced separately for each tournament and are expected to have an approximate retail value under $200. Winners are responsible for any tax consequences, even if no tax reporting form is issued. Rivals Tournament Challenge may substitute a prize of equal or greater value or withhold a prize if awarding it would create legal, eligibility, school, or administrative issues.

Student-Athlete Prize Protection

Rivals Tournament Challenge is a free bracket-prediction contest, not an athletic competition. Prizes are awarded for prediction performance under the contest scoring rules, not for athletic performance, team membership, or participation in any school activity. Current high school student-athlete winners are eligible only for non-cash prizes unless accepting a prize would violate school, athletic, amateur-status, or family rules. A parent or legal guardian may accept, decline, defer, or redirect a prize on the minor winner's behalf.

Winner Verification

Potential winners may be required to verify identity, eligibility, age, parent or guardian consent, and compliance with these rules before a prize is awarded. If a potential winner cannot be verified, is ineligible, or does not respond within a reasonable time, Rivals Tournament Challenge may award the prize to the next eligible participant according to the leaderboard and tiebreaker rules.

Independent Operation

Rivals Tournament Challenge is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or affiliated with the Utah High School Activities Association, participating schools, school districts, Instagram, Meta, or any sponsor unless expressly stated.

Limitation of Liability

Rivals Tournament Challenge is provided “as is.” We are not responsible for technical failures, data loss, or incorrect scores resulting from third-party sources.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance.
